Accessibility
1. Introduction
This accessibility statement applies to the website https://onlinetraining.slovenia.info/ (hereinafter: the online training quiz).
The online quiz is managed by the Slovenian Tourist Board (STO), which is responsible for planning and implementing the policy for marketing and developing the comprehensive tourism offering of Slovenia.
Our aim is to make the use of the online quiz accessible to the widest possible group of users. For this reason, we continuously adapt and improve it to ensure accessibility for users with different types of disabilities.
In doing so, we follow:
• The Act on the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications (ZDSMA)
• The Accessibility of Products and Services for Persons with Disabilities Act
(ZDPSI)
• The international Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.
2. Level of Compliance
The website https://onlinetraining.slovenia.info/ is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 guidelines – Level A, as some parts of the website do not yet fully meet all accessibility requirements despite continuous improvements.
When developing and upgrading the website,
we follow the WCAG 2.1 guidelines, which define three levels of compliance:
• A
• AA
• AAA
The online quiz currently meets the basic Level A requirements, while certain functionalities already follow higher recommendations.
Exceptions and deviations are listed in Section 4 of this statement.
3. Accessibility Features
From the perspective of digital accessibility requirements, the online quiz includes several adaptations.
3.1 Perceivable
The goal is that all information and components of the website are presented to users in ways they can perceive.
3.1.1 Time-based media
The online quiz contains multimedia content (video and other visual elements) that are part of the learning environment.
3.1.2 Adaptability
The content is generally adaptable and can be used across different devices without loss of information or functionality.
3.1.3 Distinguishable
The online quiz enables:
• content zoom up to 200% without loss of functionality
• appropriate contrast between text and background
• clearly marked interactive elements (buttons, links, tasks).
3.2 Operable
The goal is that user interface components and navigation are operable for all users.
3.2.1 Keyboard accessibility
The online quiz supports basic keyboard
navigation, including:
• moving through content
• confirming actions
• interacting with modal windows.
3.2.2 Enough time
Users have sufficient time to complete tasks and interact with the content.
3.2.3 Navigation
Navigation in the quiz is based on:
• a logical content structure
• a progression system
• an interactive map
• progress indicators.
3.3 Understandable
The goal is that information and the operation of the user interface are understandable.
3.3.1 Readability
The online quiz uses a clear content structure, consistent navigation, and understandable interactive elements.
3.4 Compatibility across devices
The online quiz is accessible on:
• desktop computers
• tablets
• mobile phones
It works in modern browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari.
4. Non-accessible content and exceptions
Despite our efforts, some content is not yet fully accessible.
4.1 Interactive map
The interactive map of Slovenia relies on visual elements that are not fully readable by assistive technologies (such as screen readers). An alternative progress view is available.
4.2 Graphical elements
Certain icons, badges, locked elements, and progress indicators do not always include complete text alternatives.
4.3 Animations
Some animations and visual transitions are not fully optimized for all users, although the option to reduce motion is available.
4.4 Multimedia content
Video and other multimedia content do not
always include:
• subtitles
• audio descriptions
• text transcripts.
4.5 External learning materials
Some external or older learning materials (e.g., PDF documents) are not always prepared in an accessible format. Accessibility is continuously improved for new content.
5. Disproportionate burden
The online quiz is designed for interactive learning and includes gamification, multimedia elements, and complex visual components.
Full adaptation of all elements would
currently represent a disproportionate financial, technical, and organizational
burden, particularly for:
• complex cartographic displays
• older multimedia content
• content from external partners
• content with limited lifespan.
In such cases, legislation allows partial deviations from full compliance.
